Status of Ampakin CX717, etc

Well, i read that Cortex P. cancel the research? is that true?

Anyone know what is the actual status of Ampakines?

It was a promising drug ..

UPDATE: I found the link http://www.cortexpharm.com/prodpipe/index.html

Ok now it label CX717 like "respiratory stimulant"? LOL

So seems like the only nootropics drugs are CX1739 - CX2076 .. preclinical and phase 1  =(

Another interesting one http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/20 … 121524.htm  (only in rats, but seems like some people start taking it with positive effects too).

Is there any other "in process" drug/nootropic that we must put an eye on it?

Cheers

Re: Status of Ampakin CX717, etc

Hi dude,
...Interesting that the alzheimer's version has its number classified  :  )
Reasonably new nootropic (out July 2010): P7C3:
National Institutes of Health; "A chemical to make brain cells grow: Mental decline thwarted in aging rats." July 8th, 2010. www.physorg.com/news197793408.html

Other news:
EPO:
BMC Biology [Open Access Paper]
http://www.biomedcentral.com/1741-7007/9/27/abstract

Synaptine:
Synaptine™ is a proprietary blend of piracetam and choline bitartrate in an approximate 3:2 ratio. there is approximately 400 mg of piracetam and 300 mg of choline bitartrate in each capsule.

Synaptine Elite combines Aniracetam and Alpha GPC (a more effective but more expensive acetylcholine precursor).

Both are marketed by: http://www.cerebralhealth.com/

...And from our old friend Darpa: A nasal spray containing a naturally occurring brain hormone called orexin A. Afaik this hasn't been presented for FDA approval yet, but work is going on in other places. It has its own wikipedia page (not giving link as it won't work for you unless you use https).

Pramiracetam is recommended for attention or memory disorders of a degenerative or vascular nature in the elderly. It also has a wiki page.

Your link on AgT (magnesium)...I think it might be interesting mixed with Huperzine A but I haven't tried it.
Not much else going on afaik...
Best,
AR
