Confession

I never had/owned: an umbrella, a cellphone, a tv, or a wife.

Recently I burned 4 small moles on my skin (thinking: why carry them around if they don't do any good!?; a good practice for me to being my own doctor/surgeon, 'studying' my pain while burning thousands of cells).

Dude, I don't know how to introduce myself.

I am gonna sit in 'the corner' now ... already exhausted.

Dude, saying that you can 'own' an umbrella is not cool...

Re: Confession

Hi dude, welcome to the group  :  )

I never owned anything; I'm just borrowing it all for a while  :  ) Being in a wet climate I do use an umbrella (it keeps your tech dry) but have no need for the other three.

The 'burn-removal' method works well on some areas of skin but not others. Hands, face and various other areas can become infested with viral warts after a burn scar heals if the method of burning is low temperature (as opposed to lasers etc) (you can hack this side effect by locally injecting interferon but it's a long painful process). Freezing with dimethyl ether works for some moles/warts/keratoses and if there's excess skin, surgical removal with a local anesthetic works a treat.

AR

Re: Confession

Thanks Alex,

I have carried umbrellas (one at a time though) but they weren't mine, that's why I put a slash (had/owned [at the extent that one could use the pronoun 'my'. e.g.: "As I was opening my umbrella, my cellphone rang. It was my wife. She wanted a divorce. Before I smashed the cellphone on my car I yelled at her: Don't you ever touch my TV anymore!" (something like that)

Continuing 'my' confession:
I also never had: a mower or a dog.

Actually there were 6 small moles that I burned. One was so small that it wasn't even 'worth' mentioning it (now I did) and there were two very close together (I thought of counting them as one).

Re: Confession

What I was trying to point out dude is that in real life, none of us can 'own' anything. Even these bodies are only borrowed for a while  :  )

Re: Confession

I guess, yeah, I think I was thinking along 'your' lines. Thankfully life is not being consistent in copyrighting, otherwise there would probably be a 'C' on each cell/particle (the copyright symbol, not the carbon atom) and innumerable various-sizes C's (maybe like a fractal).

Alex, 'I've Changed My Mind' rocks! Affirmative and impressively exciting (I encountered it about 2 years ago). Thanks dude!

I agree! when we will get the 'sequel' alex? probably in 2011? smile

I'm interested in a future article explaining the way you can hack the taste of the food you don't like!! a lot of good/healthy food taste awful for me sad (it mention that in ICMM).

Cheers

Re: Confession

Hi dudes,
The sequel to ICMM will happen after there are sufficient articles in the library here AND there are at least 12 working tutorials (hopefully more) AND I've caught up with all private projects. So it's an open question...
If you want to make it faster  :  )  you could always volunteer to draft some articles based on selections of sources (eg, NHA sends you a selection of the latest science reference papers/data on any subject you like, plus drafting guide notes, and you draft an article about all the latest info on the subject, send it back to us and we put it on the site.)

[s] I'm interested in a future article explaining the way you can hack the taste of the food you don't like!! a lot of good/healthy food taste awful for me  (it mention that in ICMM). Cheers

I'm not overkeen on a lot of veg, so I tend to drown it in mayonaisse or cheese sauce or curry or whatever.
Short term hack:
Because taste & odor are reasonably synesthesic in most of us, this device:
http://www.odorscreen.com/
is absolutely great if you like the taste of vanilla. It works until you get sick of all your feckin' food tasting of vanilla  :  )
Long term hack: Your 'tastes' are indeed 'acquired' and with practice you'll recalibrate. Things won't taste at all the same in 6 months' time. -But do you really not like strawberries, peaches, blueberries etc? That's really unusual!
Best,
AR

Re: Confession

Influenced by this site and the idea/info that piracetam appears to reduce levels of lipofuscin in rats I ordered 6 kg of piracetam today; I haven't tried supplementing myself with piracetam before.

Meanwhile the spots on my skin of the burned moles look almost like normal skin; I see even a single hair on each of two of the spots (same size as the neighbouring normal skin hair). Amazing that it was such an easy/simple procedure and worked out as I imagined it. I did it about 5 weeks ago under [also] the influence of alcohol, using a thin rod-like piece of metal with a wooden handle that I found it among some screwdrivers (I flame-heated the metal; kind of crude operation).

Cool, let us know what changes you notice and how long it takes etc.

Re: mole removal: Be careful with the scar tissue for a while as it will be particularly susceptible to the wart virus HVP, especially if exposed to sunlight.

Piracetam has not arrived yet but there are already some slight changes: feeling somewhat excited (I guess, due to the anticipation of the positive changes that may come from it and the fact that I get to interact with AR (one of the few intelligent humans/authors that I know).

Re: Confession

About 15 hrs ago I picked the package containing 6 kg Piracetam (put in two jar-like black plastic containers [3 kg in each]).
My first encounter with Piracetam:
It looked like fine-grained sugar or salt. White.
I could not smell any smell from it.
It tasted bitter when I tried just a bit (~10mg).
So, the bottom line (of this paragraph) is that a primate, if were to encounter it without being aware of all that pile of scientific info, would not probably ingest it (excluding the taste/checking).

Anyways, I went ahead and had 1 g of it with some water, and then another (1 gram) with some tequila few hours later. Since I was not noticing any [exceptional] changes (there were some due to tequila) that I could attribute to Piracetam I continued taking: 1 g at a time at different/irregular times. Up to now I have taken 5 g of Piracetam (within 15 hrs). Still no noticable changes.

I am thinking of taking 10 g total next day (starting with a 3 g dose).

Re: Confession

10g seems like a lot of piracetam! but is not bad to try it anyways, people try a lot of differents dosage till they found the "sweet spot". Someones finds it works with only 1 or 2 g per day and others needs a lot more.

Are you taking any source of choline too?

Keep that feedback and good luck!

Re: Confession

I had taken [first time] 5 g of Piracetam before I went to sleep last night. It was a long sleep; about 10 hrs and I had two long dreams. The interesting parts of these dreams were that the storylines were developing slowly and they were easy to recall (after waking); the characters and the scenes were not changing as rapidly as in my previous dreams, which were harder to recall. I woke up, interrupting my last dream, at some point and went to pee and then went back to sleep; it seemed to me that I then 'picked the dream up' from where I left it prior to peeing. When I finally woke up I felt deeply relaxed. I hope Piracetam had some to do with that kind of sleep/dreaming.

Today I had ~3.3 g of Piracetam with diluted yoghurt (it still tasted bitter) and then another ~3.3 g dissolved in beer (the beer became more flavorful). Now I am drinking 3.3 g of it with some herbal tea (caffeine free). So my total Piracetam ingestion today was 10 g. I am looking forward to sleeping.

Yes Sakiro, it seems that 10000 mg of Piracetam is a lot but i can't find any information about the toxicity limits of Piracetam. Initially I thought of starting with very low dosages but I want to quickly find out if there seem to be positive effects coming from taking this stuff since the days of ordering some more may be numbered.

I think that the food that I consume contains adequate amount of choline; I don't (intentionally) supplement myself with choline.

Re: Confession

My sleep last night was not exceptional. I saw some dreams but not like in my previous night. I think I know what was the 'problem': I drank cappuccino yesterday, in late afternoon (around 5pm). I'll try to not intake caffeine before noon and reduce the alcohol consumption; this way maybe Piracetam effects are easier to spot (if there is any).

Today I am planning to intake 20 g of Piracetam (10 g time 2 times).
