The difference between a pisshead and an alcoholic: Both get pissed a lot, but if required, a pisshead can stop drinking with no craving for more and no physical or psychological withdrawal symptoms. An alcoholic can't.

It works the same for addiction of any kind. If you want to know whether you're addicted to something, give it up for a while. If you get withdrawal symptoms, you're addicted. If folks tried this with sugar, tea/coffee/cola and cellphones, many would get a disturbing surprise.

Oxygenation has lost some popularity due to awareness of free radical damage, Vitamin C is gaining popularity in detox regimes, I would look at all vitamins for brain health because as a general rule, if you're getting enough vits from your food, you're on a good diet.

Damage done 15 years ago has had plenty of time to recover and heal. Taking stuff now will only affect your current state.

Donepezil is an acetylcholinesterase inhibitor, so research it first, look at side effects and interactions with other drugs, consider your personal chemistry and then decide whether there are more risks than benefits.
