Re: Newcomers Questions - Site Related

Hi dudes,

Okay... lot of confusion in my mind that evening... sorry! I have to re-establish the truth... smile

The galleries section is already in the workshop, so that's cool!
There are no particular restrictions vis-à-vis their content aside some kind of alignment with ourselves for we are fully integrated parts of the universe... smile
Besides, I (re-)discovered that the shadowbox displaying pictures from galleries had an icon at the top-right corner appearing (only) when picture's size is bigger than the max size of the shadowbox system, allowing you to see the image in full size (with lifts on the browser to pan the picture), so you won't even have to resize them dude!

So go on, zip and beam...!

Time to rock!

Re: Newcomers Questions - Site Related

Ooops, it seems I critically zapped that one...

Well, it's true that I did move most big pictures onto imgeshack and photobucket in order to compare their performance, and went for photobucket in the end. So, it might be that there are a couple of them still hosted on imageshack.

If you could note which one (on which page) when it happens to you, that could spare me much time.

The other day i was trying to find some stuff in the site .. and because with time it has more and more stuff inside, i thought to use the search function in the home page.

It seems like half of the data that pulls it doesn't found the page and throw this error (i tried with a variety of terms)

It redirect me to this url http://www.neurohackers.com/index.php/e … 7/653#p653

Re: Newcomers Questions - Site Related

Hi dude,

Thanks a lot for this extremely pertinent notice, it was due to a forum component I had installed once for testing purposes, and only Alex and I had access to it, that's why you were not allowed to see the pages (it was at the time when we were wondering if we shouldn't change the 'Agora' component we currently use, but in fact, we kept it, so this other one is no longer of any use) yet its articles were found by the search function...

It has been completely removed now, and the search function results seem to be much more aligned with what we were used to... smile

Thanks again to have spotted it,

Scalino

Hey alex, i think he is asking about this part of the article "Psychological Gaming"

Hi dude,
Stuff You Need to Know

Eidetic base cores (Hardware Rules. They represent the laws of physics, chemistry etc., and set the parameters for everything in existence). Whatever we're creating, it has to exist in our reality and in our reality, you can't have space without time or mass without energy, up is not down and backwards is not sideways. (That sounds like the bleeding obvious but you'd be surprised how many people forget reality has real laws.) So you need to know the basic relationships of things inside what you might call 'the kernel of all that exists'.

The Golden Rules (Software rules. These are treated as facts about intelligence, like the laws of physics are facts about hardware). They will affect everything you create. If you forget them, your program either won't run at all or it will fall over.

EVA (Eidetic Variable Assembler.) I have an article about this somewhere, it's complicated but you'll need the basics only, unless you're a real matrix/coding fanatic or an addict like me : )

Okay I caught up with things a little...
The article referred to is not on the site, it is on my PC somewhere and you'll notice I mentioned it is under construction. It's not going to make much sense to anyone anyway until after we have the intermediate tutorials finished, and the problem remains that I am only able to write a certain number of things in a given amount of time so priorities must apply.

I know it can be irritating if the priorities address the needs of the many if you are on of the few (for example an advanced user). But I see no way around this but time and patience.
Best,
AR

Re: Newcomers Questions - Site Related

Hi Scal/Alex Thank you for the tutorials, fascinating and well written.

* I noticed that the PDF icons are currently returning an 'fopen' error - this is certainly the case with the link for tutorial 4. I believe the earlier links are affected too.

* Something which has thrown me a bit: I've just finished tutorial 4. If I understood it correctly I should hack (not exercise) my X network and exercise (not hack) my Y and Z networks,  but right at the end of the tutorial in the 'do-it-now' section you present a list of hacks for X, Y and Z

   - I thought it odd to see hacks for Y and Z at this point, as I think you're saying not to hack those networks yet.
   - There are no hacks listed for network 6, which is my X network. I'm wondering if there are hacks for network 6 later on in the series?
   - Would it be better if you had every hack/exercise/input control in a dedicated section, rather than scattered throughout different tutorials? I remember seeing some input hacks back in an earlier tutorial, but would probably have to hunt to find them again. I could copy every hack/tutorial in to my Captain's Log as I see it, but seems more straight forward to go to a single directory where they are all located - just a thought.

Oh yes one more thing, given that the Flash plugin is no longer installed as default in some of the new browsers, it may be worth linking to the Flash plugin for users who want to use the Flex component to do the auto functional analysis test.

Thanks again. I'm really enjoying the series.

Re: Newcomers Questions - Site Related

Hi dude,
Thanks for pointing this out; with regard to 'Z'; we shall correct! However with regard to 'Y':
Tutorial 4 Practical assignment point 2:
"Know whether you need to do just the exercises or hacks as well for that network [look at your template; you don't need to hack unless that network also contains an 'X']. "

Personal plan "First phase
Look at the network labeled 'Y'.
If the same one that is labeled 'X', do both exercises and hacks. If it is not, just do exercises for the 'Y' network and try out some hacks for the 'X' network. "

...So some people will need to hack + exercise, others will not need to.

Yes there will be H&E for N6 later in the series. We are also planning a master directory of hacks & exercises, plus some are in the library already. However:
Tutorial 1: Golden rule 6: "Always do things in the right order".
"To learn in the fast, easy way, we must understand the order of learning that aligns with the brain’s natural biology and we must follow that order. That means developing rear nets to optimal performance before working on higher abstract skills."

We are supposed to try out a selection of hacks/exercises and choose the ones we like best and just keep those in our log. If something doesn't bring results for us there's no point keep doing it, right? If you read through the 'personal plan' bit in T4, it explains how to narrow choices down.

Since the first 6 tutorials are for beginners, and almost all beginners need to balance up the rear end first, we present information in the easiest order to get rapid results. If you're not a beginner, you can skim through earlier tutorials until you get to the ones relevant to your stage of development.

In future, NH questions should be asked in other topic sections (ie, not "site-related"), as we may not notice them here!
Best,
AR

thanks to you, dude. (we still have some editing work to do in the latest ones though). For the flash plugin link, I'll see what I can do about that.

Have fun with the tuts,

Re: Newcomers Questions - Site Related

I appreciate you both answering so quickly

Ah yes I figured it may be because of updates as I noticed your tutorials have all been updated recently.

>NH questions should be asked in other topic sections
yes sorry Alex, I shouldn't have bundled them in to a single post.

Thanks for taking the time to answer all my points!
