DIY NMS. I like anacronyms.

Hey guys,

I haven't been on here for ages, how's it going? Anyway, I'm going to build a neuromagnetic stimulation thing, like this: http://www.shaktitechnology.com/winshak … /index.htm but cheaper. I think I have the sound files required to run it someone gave me ages ago, and if not I'm capable of creating my own (provided that something like a simple sine wave is sufficent).

So does anyone have experience/advice for this? If not I'll just order some small electromagnets off ebay or somewhere, attach them to some sort of structural support which I shall term a 'hat' and report back on whether I can induce spiritual experiences in the temporal lobes of guinea pig #1!

Hi dude, sorry for the edit. It's wise to keep names out of some things  :  )

I have some spares, enough for you to build a basic NMS kit. If you want me to post, send me an address where I should send them (not on this forum)  :  )  If you want to collect, mail me privately & we'll arrange a date.

Oops, sorry about mentioning names. I'm usually more concious of that sort of thing.

But thanks for the offer of spare parts, that's awesome! I'm too busy to come and collect atm, I'll email you with my address.

Thanks again dude smile

Hi dude,
Your yahoo email address doesn't work.

There's a whole spare kit, just no hat  :  )  Mine's made out of a bike helmet & papier mache.
If I label the electrodes you'll know what you're doing, one thing I don't have is a spare gaussmeter and you'll need one to calibrate, they're pretty cheap on amazon though.
Best,
AR

Hey Dude,

Yeah, I know, I haven't used that address for ages (I didn't use it for much and then I forgot the password) and it's probably been shut down. One thing I need to sort out is being more organised.

I'll email you from a different address.

I've got a spare hat which I can convert. I'm happy to order a gaussmeter, but why do I need one? Afaik the field strength required is many orders of magnitude lower than anything which could be dangerous, and so I could safely overshoot the minimal strength. Unless stronger fields are less effective, of course.
