Hello Neurohackers, just a quick one

Hello all,

I am slowly working through the massive amounts of information on NHA and I must say, this site seems to be the answer to my prayers, or so to speak.
I have long had an interest in neuroscience and the brain, reading a lot on the subject and watching lectures. I have always felt the vast amount of information available was lacking one thing, application - Or rather - application approachable by the Average Joe. This NHA penny fits the metaphorical slot.

Alex, I really think you should compile your tutorials and basics into some sort of book, as I suspect, with a bit of clever marketing and plugging, it would expose the benefits of NH to more people who could use it to better their lives and health. I for one would love to not have to look at a screen to read the library (computers give me headaches). sad

Anyway, look forward to talking to you all again once I have a bit more to contribute to discussion.

Re: Hello Neurohackers, just a quick one

Hi dude welcome aboard  :  )

Glad you are finding some useful stuff.

In one sense your intuition serves you well as my next book, “I've made my mind up now”, includes much tutorial & basics material.

In another sense your intuition doesn't serve you well, because as you read more of the tutorials you'll find out why 'marketing and plugging' turn out to be such bad ideas LOL  :  )

I too enjoy hard copy* and consequently used to print stuff out, but I find the newer lighter techy stuff like ipad easier than computer screens to read on (you can control the screen backlighting on many devices now, which helps me a lot). But my favorite format is audio books, and I'd love to record some stuff at some stage.

I could never understand as a kid why people weren't more interested in their own bodies, brains and minds; it was only later that I noticed most people weren't very interested in anything very much. 'Most people' never read another book after school, yet to me that's an astonishing way to go through life  :  )

Anyway I hope you have fun here; rest assured you'll keep finding new places to explore...
Best,
AR

*And books SMELL nice  :  )
